About Leanne Zaccar

Leanne is a vivacious Sydney-based actor whose passion for performing began in early childhood. She trained at renowned institutions including Johnny Young Talent School and ATYP (Australian Theatre for Young People), laying the foundation for a dynamic and diverse career across stage, screen, and beyond.

After several years living abroad in London and Milan, Leanne returned to Sydney in 2002 and immersed herself in the local theatre and film scene. She deepened her craft under the guidance of respected mentors Denise Roberts at Screenwise and Lynette Sheldon at the Actors Studio.

In 2006, Leanne brought another passion to life—Latin and Ballroom dancing—teaching professionally with Firefly and Dance Latino. Her dance journey evolved over the years, with training in Salsa and a deep love for Brazilian Zouk discovered in 2018, followed by Sensual Bachata a few years later.

Leanne's on-screen credits include her 2018 debut on Home & Away, a lead role as Sister Crystal in the feature film The Edge of the World, and a compelling performance as a burns victim in Evolver. Her commercial work spans brands like Cadbury, Smith’s Chips, Woolworths, Energizer, Hoyts, San Remo and Kelloggs. She has also featured in TV pilots, including a lead opposite Peta Toppano in Twist of Fate, and she is an experienced corporate presenter and short film actor.

On stage, Leanne has lit up productions such as FAME (a sell-out season), The Vagina Monologues, Departures & Arrivals, and The Wiz. In 2009, she reached the Gala Final of Short & Sweet with her moving performance in Mandragora.

Beyond the spotlight, Leanne’s heart beats for community. For over a decade, she has been a devoted volunteer, mentor, and presenter with organisations such as Primary School Ethics, the Raise Foundation, and NAPCAN’s Love Bites program.

Driven by a deep desire to support others and make the world a brighter, happier place, her passion for community work naturally evolved alongside her path as a Spiritual Medium and Psychic Tarot Reader. Though these roles may seem worlds apart, both are deeply rooted in her lifelong commitment to creating positive change and reflect her unwavering intention to uplift, empower, and transform those around her.

This soulful path opened the door to her most transformative work yet—Keynote Speaking. Fusing her passion and natural flair for storytelling, spiritual insight, and an infectious energy that lights up any room, Leanne now empowers audiences to rediscover their spark, reconnect with their authentic selves, and take bold steps toward the life they were born to live. Her talks are as heart-opening as they are activating, inspired by her own journey through burnout, motherhood, and rediscovering joy after personal upheaval.

When she’s not on stage or screen, Leanne is soaking up the magic of motherhood with her two boys, making handmade cards, dancing around the house, or chatting to her beloved parrots. A lover of music, yoga, travel, and the Italian language, she brings soulful joy and playful curiosity to everything she touches.
